Ed Arkell, Clerk of the Course at Goodwood, said: “Today features the Qatar Sussex Stakes, billed as the hottest race in Europe so far this year and the first time milers from the Classic generation get to meet their older counterparts.
“The going is now Good following a dry day yesterday which was warm, sunny and breezy. We are forecast much the same today, with the temperatures possibly a bit warmer. We are looking forward to a good afternoon of racing.”
